At this Zoom session with the great poetry teacher Rachel Korazim from Tel Aviv, we will explore the poetry of Leah Goldberg (1911-1970). Born and raised in Eastern Europe, educated mainly in Germany, Goldberg emigrated to pre-state Israel in 1935, composing beautiful, musical poems bridging the distance between her European childhood and her new homeland. Scarred by World War I and the unfolding Shoah, she wrote lyrics to "remind people that they are still human beings."
The Zoom link will be emailed to you automatically after you have registered. Please note that if you are registering for multiple people, we will email them the link in advance of the meeting if you list their email address, but they will not receive it automatically.
The other two sessions will be held on Sunday, November 10 at 10am (about poet Natan Alterman, individual registration) and on Sunday, January 19 at 10am (about poet Haim Gouri, individual registration).
If you would like to attend all three sessions, you can register using this form.
