Join Minyan M’at for a Megillah Reading with a Tisch Like None Other.
We will be doing a Tisch. We’ll gather around a table to celebrate, drink a l’chayim, sing a bit, nosh a bit, and hear a little bit of Torah. Tisches were traditionally done for the groom before a wedding, or on Shabbat with a rebbe. This being M’at, we are doing it havurah style--ourselves!
During Megillah reading, there’ll be a slide show with some Purim Torah, some commentary on the Megillah itself, some Purim Trivia, some fun pictures of us, and some classic art depicting scenes in the Megillah. Between the chapters, we will be singing Purim parodies (mainly in English). Feel free to bring any handheld instruments and send Bonnie any Purim photos you want included.
M’athattans and Shushan Shpritzes will be served. As always, you are welcome to BYOB. Light nibbles and hamantaschen will be provided as well.
So come for Maariv, Megillah Reading and the Tisch Like None Other. Thursday evening, March 13th at 7 pm in Hirsch Hall.
Please RSVP below! A headcount is really helpful to the organizers.
