Doing Good As A Family

Sunday, November 4, 2018 26 Cheshvan 5779

4:00 PM - 5:30 PM

It is never too early to introduce children to the importance of giving back to the community. Parents will have an opportunity to hear from Natalie Silverstein, New York Coordinator of Doing Good Together (a "national nonprofit that works to make volunteering and service, along with daily kindness, easy for every family"), and author of the forthcoming book, The Busy Family's Guide to Giving Back.

Children will learn about tzedakah and participate in related age-appropriate community service activities.

Natalie Silverstein is an author, volunteer and passionate advocate for family service. After a 15-year career in hospital administration, managed care and healthcare consulting, she now works as a freelance writer and editor with a particular focus on the non-profit sector and community service. Her first book, Simple Acts: The Busy Family’s Guide to Giving Back, will be published by Gryphon House on April 1, 2019. In September 2013, Natalie launched the first local affiliate of Doing Good Together. Doing Good Together (www.doinggoodtogether.org) is a Minneapolis-based nonprofit with the mission of helping parents raise kids who care and contribute.
