Is there any word more freighted in the United States today? Many of us wonder about our institutions eroding, norms melting, authoritarianism rising. Please join us for Shabbat dinner, where we will be in conversation with two scholars, members of our AC community, who can offer important perspectives.
Melissa Schwartzberg of NYU is a political theorist who reflects on democracy in different societies. Atina Grossmann of Cooper Union is a historian who has written extensively about Germany in and after the Nazi period. Their learning can help us understand our current challenges.
Please register below by Wednesday, October 29 at noon.
Kabbalat Shabbat service will be held at 5:30pm, followed by Shabbat dinner around 6:30pm and the discussion around 7:30pm.
