Riverside Park Clean-Up

Sunday, October 14, 2018 • 5 Cheshvan 5779

10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Come out and see friends and make new ones as we take care of this valuable part of our park. Everyone welcome. Children under age 10 must be closely supervised. We will be working in an area near the synagogue. A wonderful opportunity to come out and enjoy a beautiful autumn day with other members of the AC community and help us take care of our larger community!

This event will be taking place Rain Or Shine!

PROJECT LOCATION: Planters in ballfields in Section 2 inside Riverside Park

MEETING LOCATION: 105 Dog Run, circa 105th inside Riverside Park

DIRECTIONS: Go down the steps into the Riverside Park at 103rd Street. Follow the path north and take the left fork when it splits in two. This path will lead you toward the Dog Run and will bring you in front of the café area. Nina and LaKisha will be to your left!

ACTIVITY: Volunteers will be removing invasive plant species like mugwort and Japanese knotweed from the planters along the Section 2 ballfields.

ATTIRE: Dress according to the weather and be prepared to get dirty! Best to remove jewelry, wear hair tied back, closed toe work shoes required. Do not bring additional bags, as there is really no place to store belongings.
