Join us for a potluck dinner co-hosted by Ansche Chesed in support of the Hernandez family who are living in sanctuary in the church building.
In March 2018, Aura Hernandez was facing a forced return to Guatemala. Fourth Universalist welcomed Aura and her two children, Camila and Daniel, into sanctuary while she fights to secure a stay of deportation, have her immigration case re-opened, and secure a U-Visa.
Bring a dish to share, bring your family, bring your friends. All are welcome to gather for dinner, community building, and to offer support. Aura Hernandez will share her story and you'll meet her and her family.
Aura cannot step outside the 4th Universalist building.
Monthly potlucks are a way to bring the Upper West Side (and beyond) to her, to show that she has a caring community all around her.
